Train Trip From Fairbanks to Denali:

Nenana River and bridge across it.

Nenana River that we later rafted down.

Front of the train. We were pretty far back on it.

Sara & Eddie

Kay with camera ready just in case we could finally see something!

The above photos are a few from the moving train as we traveled through the smoke from all the fires that were burning. Some, of course, feature my traveling companions: Kay, Sara and Eddie. The river in a couple of these is the Nenana River where we later rafted and actually passed beneath the bridge shown in the top photo. I will post photos as the trip unfolded, these having been taken at the very beginning. However, the posts will always appear in descending order with the most recent at the top.

  1. Quite serene, tranquil, and peaceful, hope you had a wonderful time, a hint of fog setting in...
Did anyone see any bears or wolverines, the wolverines have their beady little green eyes at dusk and jump from tree to tree,,, toss some beaf jerky or sugar cubes at the end of the brush... member to be friendly, they require a leash (*)(*)... sionara, Paulo J.
