We Are on the Ship!

Boarded last night after a five hour train ride that was especially beautiful as we chugged past Cook Inlet where Captain Cook first landed. (That guy sure got around!)

Ship is amazing! Fourteen stories of floating luxury resort, too many restaurants to note as yet, and a lovely stateroom with a balcony overlooking all of the magnificent scenery. We cruised College Fjord this morning, saw and heard glaciers calving, and shivered in the cold as we enjoyed a light breakfast. It is gray and misty, like another world (outerspace, maybe?) and breathtakingly beautiful. Can't wait to post photos! (When I get home.)

No cell phone reception aboard ship and email is REALLY pricey--so please check in here to find out what's happening. (This is pricey enough @ .55 a minute.)

Food is great and plentiful, in case you're wondering. Tonight is our first formal dinner. Tomorrow, we cruise Glacier Bay.
